About the role

At Vision for Education, we're recruiting for Exam Invigilators to provide support across secondary schools in York and surrounding areas

Vision for Education can provide training to those that havent worked as an Exam Invigilator before.

With Exam periods across November to January & May - June we can offer Teaching Assistant work outside of these dates.

About the role

We're looking for multiple Exam Invigilators to join our supply staff providing support to year 10 and year 11 students during their GCSEs in York and surrounding areas. The role takes place during the end of November and December this year, as well as May to July. As an Exam Invigilator, you will be responsible for handing out equipment, supervising students, preparing examination rooms, making sure the exam takes place in accordance with exam board regulations and collating papers. You need to be able to take on the role of Reader/Scriber; supporting students who require additional support with the reading out of exam questions and then writing/typing word for word the students' answers. This would be the ideal position for someone who has invigilating and teaching assistant experience as you could work in both roles at Vision for Education.

About the school

We work with multiple secondary schools in York and surrounding areas and currently have one school in particular that are looking for 15 Exam Invigilators to support with these very important GCSE Exams. The ideal candidate for our partner schools will have experience invigilating exams, or working within an educational setting, and will work efficiently as part of a team and as an individual. You must be able to follow instructions and provide the necessary support to students. If the role, and flexibility, appeals to you then apply to join our well-established team of supply staff.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Exam Invigilator you will:

  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Exam Invigilators
  • Be able to pay attention to details
  • Have good listening, reading and communication skills
  • Have previous experience as an Exam Invigilator
  • Have the ability to follow instructions and regulations
