Key Details:

  • Location: Welsh-medium primary schools in Swansea
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Start Date: October 2024
  • Pay: Daily rate of £83.40 to £96.40 (equating to £417 to £482 per week)

About the Role: As a Welsh-Speaking Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, working 1:1 and with small groups to help them engage in their learning.
  • Assist the class teacher with daily tasks and preparation for the day.
  • Supervise pupils during lunch breaks and help maintain a safe, positive environment.
  • Carry out general administrative duties.
  • Contribute to the school's culture and ethos by working as part of a collaborative team.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Fluency in Welsh (essential for this Welsh-medium role).
  • A passion for education and supporting young learners.
  • Experience working with children and the ability to positively manage challenging behaviour.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A solid educational background (GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths) and IT proficiency.
