About the role

Role: Teaching Assistant.

Location: Manchester, Gorton.

Start Date: April after Easter.

Contract: Long-term with Daily Opportunities available.

Salary: £450 – £500 per week (dependent on experience and scale point).

The School and Role

Vision for Education is seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant to work within supportive primary schools across Manchester, starting April 2026 after the Easter break.

In this role, you will work alongside experienced teachers to help pupils stay engaged, confident, and motivated in the classroom. Your responsibilities will include supporting learning activities, guiding individuals or small groups, and helping maintain a calm and productive learning space.

Requirements

To apply for this Teaching Assistant role in Manchester, you should have:

  • Previous experience supporting pupils in a primary school or educational setting, or a relevant qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant.
  • A genuine interest in supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills when working with pupils, staff, and families.
  • Confidence assisting with individual and small-group learning activities, including supporting different learning needs.
  • A positive, adaptable attitude and the ability to contribute effectively within a classroom team.
