The School and Role
A Primary School based in Newcastle are looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to work full-time from April 2026. The ideal candidate will have prior experience of supporting children with SEND and must be confident in undertaking 1:1 and small group interventions. Knowledge of the Key Stage 2 Curriculum would be highly beneficial. This is a long-term role with potential to turn permanent.
Requirements
The desired Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience of supporting pupils with SEND.
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Preferably have experience of working across Key Stage 2.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A calm and approachable manner.
