Vision for Education is working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school to recruit a passionate Teacher of Food Technology in Preston, Lancashire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled educator to inspire young people and make a real difference in a supportive school environment.


The Role – Teacher of Food Technology – Preston, Lancashire

We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Food Technology in Preston, Lancashire to start in April 2026. This is a temporary, long-term position with no set end date, offering stability and the opportunity to become a valued member of the department.

The Teacher of Food Technology – Preston, Lancashire role is part-time for three full days per week. There is also the potential to move to a full-time timetable for those happy to support with additional subject cover.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Planning and preparing high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Assessing, monitoring and supporting pupil progress

  • Maintaining a safe and stimulating learning environment within the food technology classroom

  • Contributing positively to the wider school community

The ideal Teacher of Food Technology – Preston, Lancashire will:

  • Hold QTS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification)

  • Have experience teaching Food Technology in a UK secondary school

  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills

  • Be passionate about inspiring creativity, healthy living and practical life skills
