Vision for Education are expanding our network of Cover Supervisors to support a variety of welcoming secondary schools across Sheffield and surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for confident individuals who are passionate about education and want to gain valuable classroom experience while working in different school environments.

We are also recruiting across Rotherham, Doncaster, and Barnsley.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring learning continues smoothly when teachers are absent. You will be responsible for supervising lessons, supporting students, and maintaining a positive classroom environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects

• Maintaining strong classroom behaviour and engagement

• Supporting students to stay focused and complete set work

• Assisting pupils with SEN or additional learning needs where required

• Recording lesson feedback and student progress for teaching staff

• Promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment

About You

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals who enjoy working with young people.

Ideally, you will have:

• Experience working in a secondary school, youth setting, or coaching environment

• A basic understanding of the UK secondary curriculum

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Confidence in managing groups of students

• A commitment to safeguarding and student welfare

• A driving licence or reliable access to transport (preferred)
